Kohen's First Fish

My grandson Kohen's first fish at 4 years old. We started our morning by visiting Hiwassee Marine Boat and Tackle and stocking up on some pan fish hooks and floats. Kohen wanted to buy some swim baits but we talked him out of it. We then made the short drive across the 58 Bridge and arrived at Agency Creek Boat Ramp. It was hot but Kohen was tough and wanted to fish. A few casts later he had his first fish.

Congratulations! I know that is a special moment. Hopefully the first of many!

I must share my grandson's first fish. My daughter captured the scene in this photo. It meant enough to me to have it tattooed on my shoulder.

Thats great.i was an avid fishermen during my early yrs and then just focused on hunting. My son was fascinated with fishing. One day i was at my family home and i him out the window taking a old fishing pole- he found in the shop - to a mud puddle to fish. I said thats it. No i have 2 boats, just built a a pull through shop for the big boat and we fish every week. Hunting will always be king, but i definitely enjoy my time on the water

We had a ball. He walked in to the bait and tackle store like he had been there before. He was excited. The fishing was hot and wanted to take off the life jacket and that caused some drama.
