Hoping Poser or someone will chime in. I am processing my deer, and I know there has been a lot of talk about venison stock. After cutting the roasts away from the neck bone last night I noticed a lot of meat still on the bone, any recipes to include the neck bone?

I was thinking maybe slow roasting to get the meat off, then adding some veggies for a stew or soup, but there may be other ideas I hadn't thought of.

You can take the entire neck and make a crockpot roast that will be one of the best venison dishes you have ever had, and it's easy too.

I was thinking about that, but this neck wont fit in my crock pot. Deer weighed 208lbs dressed. So I deboned it and gonna make a few neck roasts. :) I just don't wanna see all the meat on the bone go to waste.
