My dad brother and I will be heading there 2nd week of muzzy season I'm trying to find maps but can't seem to find any good topo maps does anyone know who I can call or website to look at,? Also is there any deer coolers we can keep our deer in, we're staying in one of the cabins.

Any other helpful information is always useful lol

Good luck....probably will not need a cooler.....since the three a day limit on antlerless, there are very few deer there.

You can drive through the area at any time, day or night and never see a deer. A few years ago (B4 3 a day) you would see several every trip.

Dobry dyen!

I would tend to agree. Quota hunts are a good thing.

I thought hunting on the trace was a guaranteed trip to the slammer. Are you talking about Natchez State Park WMA? If I can hunt the trace, Count me in!

I like the Natchez WMA...only been hunting it about 3 years so I might not have seen it in the prime if others are correct, so I don't have anything to compare it to. But it's a beautiful, large WMA with plenty of space for the few hunters that I've seen while I've been there. I mostly hunt north of the interstate. Last year there was still lots of fresh sign including droppings. The difficulty is that it is so large and there's a yugo ton of productive white oaks...it's hard to hunt food there cause there's just so much. I think hunting routes would be more productive. All that said, I've only harvested one doe there...only hunt that WMA when I'm visiting the in laws so probably less than 10 hunts there total. But man if you enjoy being out in remote areas like I do it's a beautiful area...Good luck!

PS. my wife and I were married there at cub lake, we all stayed in those cabins. really nice area of TN.
