Mzloader Kill Thread!

Well last year on the opener she killed a doe that most of you seen on video and pics of, that was her 1st deer and 1st time ever in the woods hunting. Today we found ourselves headed back same field same basic set up, ground blind this year since she is pregnant, but its sitting right in front of the ladder she killed out of last year! This was my lil ones 1st hunt too, it meant alot to me to get her a deer this morning, we got settled and started staring at the backs of our eyelids lol, I picked up my phone and text some of my friends to see if they had any luck, and at 10 til 8 I look in the field and there 50 yards this guy stands, I reach over to nudge her to wake her and she jumps up in a frantic daze, I say there he is bug, kill him, kill him, she gets on him and I watch through the binos, he turns broadside.....KA-BOOM, he hits the ground struggles around and makes his way to his feet, runs off the field. After waiting 30 minutes we ease out jus to were he fell to look for blood and then we was going to the truck for a few minutes to take chairs and stuff back. Found blood where he hit the ground then I followed it to the edge of the field, White belly in sight, he didnt go 60 yards off the field and died behind my lock on.....Life is Good!!!!

She has already asked if she can move mine down the wall and put hers on my hook lol!

I got my first double yesterday morning. I killed a doe and a small buck. 30 minutes before I shot, my brother killed a doe. What a great morning in the woods.


TWRA was at the checking station taking biological data. I have to say that there is no way they could have been nicer. It was very nice talking to them. They aged my doe at 3 1/2. She dressed at 70#. I gots deer meat to pick up next weekend.

Got a slickhead Sunday morning in Weakley. Finally got one with the Savage. 250 Xtp went in front shoulder and wedged under hide on rear quarter. Still weighed 217gr.

I shoot the same setup. I got a 5pt this morning at about 20 yds with it. The rut seems to be in full swing where I was hunting. He was chasing a doe around. She stopped and then he stopped and stuck his nose where a gentlemen should not without proper introductions and invitations. I took advantage of the situation and shot him and he hit the ground and never got back up. The little fluffy kittens (doe) apparently liked what he was doing and came back looking for more foreplay while I was dragging him out. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a shot off at her.

I got a doe saturday morn though I missed reloaded two more came in shot another doe then reloaded had another doe come in bletting like crazy though I would have a little fun so I bletted back she came right under my stand and would not leave about five min later a four point came in out of no where she ran to him and he bagan to chace her so I pulled my gun back up the stand and laid the hammer down on him as well no pics but on the cell phone man I love ml season!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to work this weekend, so missed the opener. My buddy killed this one on my farm Saturday morning. Looks like one side got damaged early and grew deformed.
