My son with his second of the year...one in Mississippi and now one in Tennessee. This one was stubborn...it took him about 20-30 minutes and both of us calling very softly and scratching in the leaves for him to finally commit to that last 30-40 yards for a shot. 23 pounds, 11.25" beard and just over 1" spurs for this one.

That youth 870 with the choke you recommended is lights out with Apex 9. I started watching Gunbroker for another one but the prices got out of hand so I bought a like new Mossy 500 20 gauge with a 22" barrel off GB for a song...I almost felt bad about what I won it for...its nice too...but I put M-Carbo springs in both and the 870's trigger is a little nicer and the overall weight about 1/2 pound lighter...its just a sweet set-up.
