My recent Venice Trip

I was invited to go offshore fishing last weekend with a customer. Had an absolute blast and I can't wait to head back to Venice!

[/url][/img] Broke my heart to send this big snapper back down. 18 lb. snapper are meant to go on ice!

[/url][/img] Missed the size limit by an inch. Still fun to catch!

Real nice. Im out in the gulf workin rite now. Mississippi canyon block 782. 6650 feet of water. We see some charter boats here quit often. We normally see tuna but havent in atleast a week.

Man, y'all are way out there!!! You are on the floating rigs aren't you? The farthest we went is the rig they call Medusa. About 1150 feet. There were a few charters after tuna out there. The guy I went with owns the boat so it was fun to go out and fish and not have to worry about time and all that. Just fish until you are ready to leave!

And you get a better since of accomplishment when you do it yourself!

Stik you probably know the people I went out with. Mr. Ed Jones and his son Steve Jones. I know Mr. Ed use to be on the GSP all the time. I think he still goes a couple times a year.

Yea, we way out there. But ive been way further out than where im at now. We should be done here in 2 months. I dont know where we will be after that
