Nope. Almost no handgun expperience. Not sayin I don't know a thing or 2. But when it comes to reloading them, its all second nature to me.

Thats the model 1872. I love the look of those. I have always wanted an uberti 1875 outlaw. They look just like the pistols from the old Clint Eastwood and Lee Van Cleef spagetti westerns. 45 lc is a pretty good round. Its about 150 fps faster than a 45 acp.

Yep. I'm thinkin the .45LC would be a decent deer/hog round out to about 50yd max.

I to always liked and would like to play with one of the conversion models just never have yet.I knew they made them but haven't seen one around here almost got one of the Cattleman models once.

While I'am sure there are other difference the biggest,to me, is the style. The Vagueros are patterned after the the old Colt Peacmakers in grips and fixed blade notched rear sites while the Blackhawks have fully adjustable rear sites. Much like the 3rd gen Colt "Peacemakers" and "New Frontiers"
