Took my boy hunting tonight. Got in the stand about 30min later than I wanted but all was quiet & didn't jump anything on the way in. Was in the stand probably 20 min when a doe came in to our left. While watching her another slipped in in front of us, so I decided to shoot her. She spotted some movement, didn't spook. But turned & walked to about 30yrds. Had to hold the draw for over a min to get a shot & ended up w/ a hard quartering away shot. Let her fly, & thunk, stuck her. While watching her run off I was talking to my boy about the shot when I noticed the first deer had not spooked. So I sat back down to watch her. After about 10 min in walks another doe, broadside at 14yrds so I think, why not? Drew back & put the swhack attack on doe #2. All in under 30 min of being in the stand. My first double & my boy got to watch a bow kill finally. Pretty sweet hunt if you ask me. Oh & sorry for the long read, & lack of picks.
