Mushroom ID Help

Trying to learn more about foraging mushrooms and I'm not sure what to make of this. I came across this while still hunting today, but I left it as it was since I didn't know 100% what it was. My initial thought was chicken of the woods, but it threw me because it's growing on the ground. Can you guys/gals help me figure out what it is?

Looks like chicken of the woods to me .. probably growing off a root from the tree behind it..

It looks like chicken of the woods. Make sure you properly ID before eating though.

smooth on bottom is a chicken, fins in bottom is not.
