This year I have moved 12 apple trees that are 10 -15 yrs old! Apparently the places I planted them were too wet, you can literally walk up to them and push them over! Last year I transplanted 8 of them and they all lived. I moved them to my home place and on high ground

I pretty much just pushed back and forth till it fell to the ground, apples like well drained soil, the roots will almost rot off, and they will not go deep in search of water

Year before lsat when I pruned my two apple trees, I stuck some of that years growth into one of my tomato plant buckets.

To my surprise in the Spring they sprouted.

I later transplanted them up on a ridge along side of an old field.

There still hanging in there.
