It's like the Deer have vanished this week on camera. I have one Momma and Baby come in daily but other than that there's nothing moving at all. Very strange. Neighbor checked his cameras and says the same thing. Won't stop me from getting back out but wow.

BIG transition time....

Post 2nd rut, bucks are moving away from does and to secluded (often unhunted) properties to recover.

Does are moving to larger food sources.

100k fewer deer on the landscape toward end of season compounds the lack of sightings.

Its not the best time of the year to hunt, but there are still good bucks out there.

I did notice an insane amount of feeding last night on cameras. Very little in daylight today.

Here in SW TN, we are seeing a second flurry of activity on cameras with bucks pestering does and fawns, and some breeding. The hunting is typically harder as mentioned above, with fewer deer sightings per sit, but we have killed some good mature bucks these last two weeks of season. With that said, the temps after Tuesday look depressing, and look to stay that way for at least a week. Screenshot of a recent video.

My son's cameras at 2 different places 15 miles apart went stone dead for a week. Then Thursday morning everything came alive. Wild how that happens.

Exactly what we experienced in SW TN on our cameras and observations. The does must have started smelling good again. That alone usually gets things stirred up across the landscape. 16 more days and this season is in the books, except for juvenile weekend.

Unfortunately my cell cams won't pick up signal in my fields so I don't know if they've moved down there or not and I was a knucklehead this year and don't have card only cameras in place there. Good news is that after today, I am off of work until Jan 5 so I have plenty of hunt time coming up.

Same here. Camera went dead for a week. Then I got my first yote pic of the season Saturday night and a Bobcat Monday night. Just got sent a photo of a doe so maybe movement is picking back up.
