ML Turkey - opening morning

Haven't killed a Turkey in years as it seems difficult to find the time in the spring. Got an invite and decided to go and take a ML.
Square load of 5 drams of BP and 2 oz of #4, dropped him at 47 paces. Since, I was handicapped with one barrel, my buddies let me fire first- then they too connected.
Great, just to be outdoors with good friends and icing on the cake with kills.

Well done! That's a pretty hefty load. That looks like a nice original. How bout some details.

Not really for the bore size - just over an inch, all wrapped up in 8 pounds. With the light weight, I kept increasing square load (equal portions power/shot), I could see the pattern raising until it covered up a 3' sq target at 35 yards. Very comfortable to shoot - a heavy load in a Rem 870 will kick harder.
