Has anyone had any problems with a Minn Kota edge 45 foot control directional pointer that stopped working? I took mine apart and there are 3 plastic gears 1 from the shaft another thats a floater and the 3rd turns a shaft attached to the pointer the floater between the two wont stay in place between the other two and jumps out of the teeth on the shaft gear. It appears that theres nothing to hold the thing down so it aligns with the other two! It floats up on the shaft it rides on and looses contact with the other 2. Thought Id check here before contacting Minn Kota.

Common problem for the pointer/gears to break on both Minn Kota and Motor guides.
Nothing seems actually broken though the plastic gear just seems to keep riding up the shaft far enough so the teeth dont interlock, anyone got a fix, I dont see where buying the new parts will fix anything.

Sounds kinda like what mine has done my directional piece is the only thing that doesnt work

Had the same problem and the dealership ordered me a new parts kit for it and it has worked ever since.
