I have been using 2 spots for putting out feed and mostly just a salt lick. This year I want to change the locations and what I put out.
What and when do you guys put out for mineral/salt licks and for how long? And not looking for baiting during the season, just want to establish some options on my land.

thanks for the help

I freshen during turkey season when I'm in the area. Pull cards about every 6 weeks and refreshed sites.

I usually put mine out around the start of turkey season and freshen then again in August.

This.

I use Trophy Rock, simply because it is naturally deposited salt mined from the ground. I have concerns about man-made products. What's really in them?

I keep mine year round. I have four on 150 acres. Replenishing as needed. I use the mineral/salt block from TSC.

Trophy rock is probably best but have got a little expensive.I buy a bag of brown mineral and a bag of rock salt at co-op and mix 50/50.Works great.Put it out start of turkey season and again about August.

I put mine out any time early Spring. This year I did it around mid April. I'll add some again maybe early August. I've used about every product on the market and as long as they contain salt, deer will eat them. I put some cattle protein blocks out once and the deer did NOT like them at all.

I freshened my established sites yesterday and added a new one pictured here. I'm a month behind my usual schedule but they'll be fine.

Deer will start pounding them again around February, and not let up until September. In particular when does are lactating in june and july I have gotten photos of does and fawns on them almost non stop all thru the nights. if you set a game cam for 5 minute delays you will get photos non stop thru most nights during these summer months. A 40 # bag of trace mineral will disappear in two weeks from open visibility. If you put video mode on it is amazing, like watching a kid with cotton candy.................

I also use trophy rock and like most others put it out in march then again injune and then first of september, keeps my trail cam warm from taking so many pictures. :D

I got 2 trophy rocks at TSC and (cant remember the name) some loose trace mineral mixture in a bucket. I put it out last Tue 17MAY at 2 locations along with some corn. Now wait and see in a few weeks.
