This report from Mid-South waterfowler, Scott May.

Well the freeze broke with a light rain last Saturday night. My boys and I had a fair hunt east of Waldenberg on Sunday.
Best day was Monday as there were lots of good reports; then things went back into the crapper.
I have not heard of a "limit hunt" since Monday.
My reports today are dismal from the Ridge to Tunica to Clarksdale; there just are not any ducks.
I checked my 3 north Mississippi leases from north of Tunica to Crenshaw. I saw 30 ducks on the water and none in the air.
Report from one of the famous brakes west of Clarksdale was 5 hunter, 5 ducks by 10:00.
If you think today was bad, wait 'til this afternoon and evening with rain and 40-50 mph wind gets them really ready to fly tomorrow.
I was tempted to pick up the decoys, but chose to pick up a Blue Moon, instead.
WARNING:
The word on the street is that the wardens were out in force on the lower Tallahatchie and nabbed one group with 50 ducks over. Anyone need to have their truck washed; these boys will be putting in a lot of community service time, and won't be hunting for several years.
