Food Plots Memorial Day Mow

Decided to mow the food plot today. The chicory, clover, and last falls cereal rye were really thick. Took some before and after pictures.

With recent rains and with rain in the forecast I'd say that was a safe move....but with hot and dry weather (like weve previously have had) I'd be cautious about mowing clover too short. With all that said, your plot looks great!! And with these wet overcast days that clover should take off!!

I checked on my newly developed clover plot today
It's just ok. But a work in progress
I been mowing at 8 in so far
It's been mowed twice
Sprayed w clethodim
And fertilized
It was planted w oats wheat and cereal rye and I killed those out

I mowed ours early last week. We dont mow ours but 2 to 3 times a year now. All the drought and hot weather the last couple years no need for it.

Finished mowing the day before all the rain started. Planned on spraying this weekend but after 9+" of rain weeds may be too tall
