He came along around 7 this morning. A .570 patched round ball ahead of 3 drams goex 2fg did the did the trick. The shot was at 50 yards and Mr. Deer ran maybe 20 yards before collapsing. Surprisingly, a smaller buck was hanging out with him and stayed around for what seemed like forever after the shot. Saw plenty of does too, but no chasing.

Nice Buck Congrats. They are chasing here in Humphreys Co. I had two good uns' chase a doe in on me last Suturday afternoon. Flash in the pan, picked reprimed had a slight hang fire and the rest is history. He still out there without a scratch. :bash:

Actually, no....The ball did not exit but with a quartering shot I suspect it traveled a foot or more inside the deer. I made an initial inspection but no luck. I should have told my processor to keep an eye out for it.

Thank you. I bought the lock and triggers from Tip and the Rice barrel directly from them. A contemporary builder and friend, Jim Parker, from Warrior, AL assembled it for me.
