Marlin XS7C 7mm-08

Fooled around and bought one of these today. I really like the way it feels and fits me. Have read nothing but good reviews on them. Topped it off with a Weaver 6.5x20 that I got a good deal on, so I thought I'd give it a whirl, too.

We'll see.
I am going to start it's diet with Federal 140gr Fusions.
I have read several places where people were getting sub-moa 5 shot groups with this combo. I'll try them to see if it does like them. If not, I'll give something else a try.

I may even get it ready to go to Wyoming on Tuesday!
Look out Wyoming antelope!! :grin:
I will carry my 25-06 for sure, though.

I will post a report when I get to sight her in.

I have a marlin bolt gun in .243, it shoots as good a some higher priced guns, still happy with it at this point.

Oh yeah... go to MARLINOWNERS.com & check out the thread for the X guns, they've figured out a lotta tricks to make it better, lots of good ideas & info.

Thanks Fox Fire..I will check it out.

Fixing to mount the Burris on it, and hopefully get it sighted in on Sunday. We are leaving for Wyoming on Tuesday, so if I want to take it, I better get with it!!
