Marion County Newspapers is now accepting recipes for their first cookbook, Family Traditions, to be published in November 2010.
Categories are: Appetizers, Side Dishes, Main Dishes, Desserts and Healthy Choices. We are seeking recipes that are traditional family recipes. In keeping with the theme, Family Traditions, submitters may write a short paragraph about the recipe and memories invoked by it.
Submitters should print or type their recipes, emailed or on full sheet of paper, complete with your name, address and daytime phone number. One recipe per email or sheet of paper with requested information preferred. Mail to P.O. Box 765, South Pittsburg, TN 37380 or bring by office at 307 � Elm Ave., South Pittsburg; or email to [email protected]. Those faxing their recipes may do so to 423-837-8715 at Attn: Cooking Contest.
Deadline for submission is 5 p.m. on October 8. The top three choices from each category will be asked to prepare the dish for judging and photos on October 28. Judging banquet will be held on October 28 for the top three recipes of each category and prizes will be awarded.
