Cooking Season

Feel like I haven't cooked much in months except to grill stuff on the small gasser. Which is great and convenient but I like to fire up the chimney of charcoal and put the Weber to work when I get the chance. This was last Sunday.
8 lb pork butt pretty simple. Also made for some excellent nachos & a bbq pizza later in the week.
White beans and kale soup with Tasso ham. Courtesy of Chef Jean-Paul Bourgeois and his Duck Camp Dinners YouTube series. Ate on this all week too for lunch and farted constantly. Good week.

No that was store bought. I was really pleased with it.
We do sew a pretty good patch of greens every fall with kale, mustard & turnip greens.

Storebought tasso or did you make your own? Kale soups are pretty underrated. Fart factory efficiency for sure though. Good and good for you.

Store bought. I had a conference down in Gulf Shores back in December. Before I left I went by Rouses market and loaded up on different andouilles, boudins & a couple packs of Tasso. I think one had chef Paul Prudhomme's face on it?
