Has anyone ever used this pickle mix? A buddy of mine made several jars of pickles using it and they were pretty good. He gave me this bottle to use and make some. All you do is cut your cucumbers in spears, put them in the jar, fill the jar up with this mix and put them in the refrigerator for one day and eat.

I generally use the Mrs. Wages Dill Pickle mix and it is hard to beat imho. I've canned them, refrigerated some, and even canned green tomatoes with it. It's all good but my last batch of pickles I soaked in pickling line for a day.

I've used the packages but I have never seen it in a ready to go jar. I add a couple of hot peppers and 4 cloves of fresh garlic per pint. They are better than store bought by a long shot!

1 qt jar
5-6 blackberry leaves
2 Tbsp pickling spice
4 cloves garlic
2 sliced fresh jalapeño w/seeds
2-3 slivers of fresh onion
1 Tbsp salt
1 Tbsp dried dill
Fill with 50/50 water and vinegar brine
Hot water bath for 30-40 minutes.

We sure like them this way, they're crispy too!
