M50 or M25?

I have been looking into getting my first hang on stand for this upcoming season. I really like all of my millennium tree stands and have been looking at either the M25 or M50 for a hang on that will stay up all season. From best I can tell the main difference is the way the stands attach (chains vs receiver with ratchet strap). Never had a stand with chains before. Anybody have experience with these stands or an opinion on straps vs chains?

Can't speak for the m25s but have several m50s. To the best of my knowledge the m25s use the chain like you said and mounts to the tree like any other chain on stand. The m50s use a bracket that is available in rachet or chain style. I will say the bracket makes hanging it much easier. The bracket also allows you to put many brackets up and only need one stand.
