I have an unissued m48a mauser that my stepdad got for me and its the only gun I have ever been given. A cousin took this gun apart at my grandmothers house and lost the bolt assembly. I looked everywhere with no luck. This gun means something to me and I want to replace the bolt, but the only prices that I have found are 175 bucks. Can anybody point me in the right direction and give me some places that I may get in contact with so I dont have to sell a kidney to replace it.

Numrich gun parts, Midway, brownells, sarco inc, pick up a shotgun news. Allot of surplus parts sellers advertise in it.

They pop up on Gunbroker pretty regularly. Just remember that the M48 takes a shorter bolt than a standard 98 Mauser so you need one specific to the Yugo M48 or 24/47. I am also needing one for a Sporter M48 I am building so I keep a lookout for them on Gunbroker all the time. Really nice one sold for less than 80.00 about a month ago so you shouldnt have to pay 175.00 for one. That was a shame original bolt was lost as now it wont have matching numbers. I would keep looking as if it was trult an unissued gun it would be nice to have the correct numbered bolt.
