does the flash suppressor screw off or is it made in one piece with the site?????

I know what it looks like but would rather have the birds nest flash suppresor,,

is that one piece or does it unscrew in front of the site,,I hate to have to spend 300 more dollars to get what I want,,

I don't have one but it looks like a Gas-lock front-sight. The gas plug with the knurled knob and the 3/8" nut holds the unit on. Not enough room for a USGI flash-hider...so it has been chopped
