Noticed a loose lid on one of the imr 4350 cans I had come in a couple weeks ago from powder valley, so I twisted it off. There was no seal. So looked at the other 5 cans, 3 more of which had loose lids, and none of them had a seal either. Anyone else that ordered imr powder recently from powder valley, may want to check and make sure your lids are tight. The accurate powder that came in the same order had seals and tight lids.

I wonder if they are buying in bulk and filling containers? Is that even legal?

Think I would be on the phone to Powder Valley.

Wouldn't make any sense they are filling containers. They would have to buy the powder in bulk then buy empty 1 pound containers.

No live person to talk to there today, I will be calling Monday for an explanation.

I have never bought any powder before that was not sealed, and did not think I needed to look to inspect it, but lesson learned. If these shipped here from Australia like that, no telling whether in shipping they were exposed to moisture or not.

I did weigh one of them, compared to another full sealed jug, and weight was the same.

If it were me, I would weigh the contents of each container to make sure I was getting what I paid for. In these times, all it would take is for "someone" with access to skim an ounce off of 16 cans for another pound to sell. Not saying it was PV; could be an unscrupulous employee making money on the side.
"Trust, but verify"

Just looked at three different containers from Hodgdon. Would swear the lip of the container had the glue applied, not applied to the seal (residue on the inside of the lip).

I guess the production lines are running around the clock maybe the glue reservoir ran dry?.

You may be right. I haven't called powder valley. Don't think the problem originated with them.
