I do know the feeling of climbing up a tree only to realize you have to climb back down to get something. Adds some humor to the situation when you get to kill something after that. Congrats

Went to a spot I hadn't hunted this year and was pleasantly surprised to find the two red oaks to the right of the tree i climbed raining acorns. Haven't seen may acorns this year and when I pulled up there were deer in the woods already. I had tried to help a woman jump her dead battery off at the ramp to no avail and was late getting in. I let the deer ease off and eased up the tree, only to realize I hadn't hooked my bow up to my rope 🙄 . Went back down, went back up, waited 15-20 minutes and had three does come in. Shot the biggest one, but she turned out to be not that big, but I got some good meat off her.

It's strange how you can have everything right and not see anything. Then you can have a few problems and score. I guess that's why they call it hunting
