May have a one on some land to hunt in the Lincoln or Giles county area and wondering when the rut starts up down there? Been hunting on a buddy's lease in North FL the past three years but the timber company didn't renew.

Appreciate any help and info.

Cant speak for lincoln but giles county should be on fire next week. Seeing several scrapes and with the cold snap we are about to get this weekend it should be good to go next week

In my experience north Easter Lincoln county, rut should be getting close if not chasing now.

Also in my experience in southern Giles chasing, daytime trail pictures, and just getting shots or seeing bucks starts around first day of rifle to around December 10

Depends where in Lincoln you're hunting. I'm in the Upper northeast corner. Basically the first week of Dec. give or take a few days is best around me. Now you'll see chasing from ML till then, but it's mainly yearling and 2.5yr olds. Central to western side of the county can be good opening week of gun. Parts south right on the state line usually 2nd week of Dec. Like I said you'll see chasing before this, but the times I mentioned are when you're most likely to catch the older bucks on their feet from my experience.
