Forcast calling for 70% chance of rain, but only a 1/4 inch precip, temps 34 degrees, so may change to snow. Taking my 19 Year old tomorrow that doesn't like hunting too much but wants to spend time with Dad. Don't want to ruin him for rifle hunt next weekend. Will deer be moving? I know they have to eat. We have a two man box blind on the end of an uncut 1 AC corn field with wheat and turnips on the end....will they show in the AM there? In the drizzle? Other place is a ground blind that's been there since Sep and the deer are oblivious to it. No food plot, but nice field on the top of a ridge between two deep ravines with nice hardwoods at the edges......cam had activity two months ago, for about a month after we pulled the feeder....but haven't had a cam there (pulled it)and not hunted it. If we go to the open field, plan is to set a decoy "Flat Stanley" and try to grunt and rattle some in. I will be happy with a brown its down.

We have a double man ladder, but if it's freezing drizzle it'll be no fun....at least the box has windows we can close and fire up a heater......what do you say?

Anyone around Jackson going tomorrow? Will it be worthwhile?

I've always seen deer in that kind of weather. Killed a few in the rain too. I would go with the box blind.
