I have tried for a week to remember to go by and get a guide but haven't done it yet.
Plus, I want to be 100% sure I am correct.

12 year old wants to go duck hunting at Gooch WMA.
What all does he need in terms of license?

Also, his dad, what does he need?
I THINK....
Regular hunting & fishing license
Migratory bird permit
Federal duck stamp
Some kind of wma permit
He also said something about a TN waterfowl license but I have never heard of such.

I like my sportsman license so I don't have to keep up with all that but it makes it hard to accurately answer questions.

The 12 year old has to be Hunter Safety certified. They must be accompanied by an adult with a valid Small Game/Waterfowl permit (or Sportsman's License.

The adult would need the Type 01 hunt/fish combo, Hunter Safety certification if born after Jan. 1, 1969, Type 005 Waterfowl license, Type 006 Migratory Bird permit, Federal Duck Stamp, and either a type 091 or 092 WMA small game and Waterfowl permit.

When did this 005 waterfowl license become a requirement? I haven't duck hunted in years and don't remember that one. Sorry if I wasn't supposed to post on this thread. Since it was a thread related question and this wasn't locked I figured I'd ask here instead of starting new one.
