Perhaps I am blind and just missed it, but I've read through the regulations and cannot find an answer.
I am in discussion with several guys about how far away (according to TWRA regulations) a deer stand has to be located from a major highway in order to be 'legal'. I've heard 50 yds, 200 yds and 300 yds, but no one can point me to where it is stated definitively.

Thanks.

There is not a set distance. It is illegal to hunt on a public road or shoot across a public road.

A hunter has to be off of the road right of way. That distance varies according to what type of road it is (county, state, interstate, etc.) the best source of info on the right of way distances is usually your county road dept.
