Does anyone have any experience with these?

It's a bear for me to zero as well! Maybe I am being to sensitive but it seems the beam point never splits the factory mark it's always a smidge over or under. I mean like machinist difference not carpenter framework.

What sale are you using and why?

Is this scale effective and useful?most importantly, is it SAFE?

NSG-
I do this every time I use my scale:
1. I wipe the surface of where I place the scale clean.

2. I un-adjust and re-adjust the scale back to zero

3, I inspect the pivot point, looking for grit

If you cannot get the pointer and the balance mark to line up you will be okay, the difference in that line is a few pieces of powder.

Yes, your beam is safe. Just be sure you always re-set to zero and double check your weight against a manual (or two).

Solid advice. Only thing I'll add to it is to make sure what you're setting it on is solid, level and in a room without any ceiling fans.

Hahah! It was nice and cool yesterday so I tried to open my garage doors (my press is in my garage.) Needless to say I had to quickly close it. The scale was moving like a see-saw...
