The beads appear too be made of clay....?
The longer piece maybe made of shell ?
Anyone ever seen anything similar?

Any info is appreciated, I found this in a box of junk left over in my old home place.
My Uncle was a Rock Hound, I'm not sure if this is some of his "stuff" or not..

Thanks

If he was a rockhound, its possible it things he found and put on the string. Then again it could have been made by him or anyone else. Hard to say.

Just my opinion but someone else may know more about it.

Thanks CBH, I was just thinking he was in the Navy during WW II, could be from an Island even.

I found it in a box of his things stored away for the last 20 years or so.

I know my Dad and him would go to a local Creek in N.W.Al and pick up a lot of fossils ,rocks and such.

Back in the early to mid 60's , before all the small Farmers got weeded out you could pick up a handful of points in no time.

These were mostly found in the cotton fields where my Mother and I picked...I most picked arrowheads and rode a stick horse!
