Not totally convinced that the All free n clear gets the odors and dyes completely out. I've smelt a faint odor that reminds me of mildew on the base layers if I sweat a lot. Any other suggestions?

Freenclear and hot water,we have a low water usage washer so I have to run less detergent because I have a water softner and it wont rinse out soap or dirt with too much detergent ,

All I ever use is the All free n clear. I use to buy the other brands marketed to hunters, and I can't tell a difference. Deer gets down wind he's going to smell you no matter.

I won't use free and clear during season because of the UV brighteners. I usually buy some kind of detergent from the hunting isle at the store

I've been using some kind of sport wash found in the camping section at Walmart and will probably use something else this year. I've been busted more using that and dead down wind products than I have using the stuff tested by Rutgers (their name has left me lol). I usually hang my clothes on the porch throughout hunting season to help keep odors down

I used arm and hammer scent free last year. Seemed to work just as well as the high priced brands in sporting goods

I wash mine at end of season and pack in tubs with cedar chips packed into a tube sock...

This year I'm going to hang them i my enclosed cargo trailer and run my ozone generator in there for a day or two, then air them out outside....

I usually wait until Wally World has their hunting clearance markdown. Picked up 6 large bottles of the Scent-Away with the UV dampeners for 50¢ a bottle.

No uv brighteners in the free and clear. Check out the approved military detergents. They can not contain uv brighteners

I've been using Purex, no-scent no UV brightners. Having said that, I don't think there is a magic that will make you scent free.

As important as scent free soap is, I'd suggest to run your clothes through an extra rinse (if possible) and once dry, hang your clothes outside to continue "drying/airing out" if possible.

I did, the liquid free and clear is not on the list

It's hard to beat Ecos Free & Clear for the properties and cost. It does not contain enzymes, fabric softeners, brighteners, scents, or dyes, and it is very cheap at Wally World, Target and other stores.
