This has been one of the toughest seasonsI have ever had. We have moved and trying to sell our house along with my wife starting a new job I didn't get to hunt near as much as I like to. Yesterday was going to be my last day of the season so I headed out just hoping to see a deer as I have mostly hunted public land this year. About 7:00 I had 2 does come out and watched them within 50 yds for about 30 minutes. About 20 minutes after they leave out of sight this guy shows up and gives me an opportunity at my biggest public land buck. I have bigger deer on the wall but I don't think I worked near as hard for them. This one is special in a lot of ways. Also a huge thanks to Our TWRA officers, without them I might still dragging him out of the woods. Late season public land paid off!
