sat at home Sat because of the wind, I told myself I was going no matter what the wind did Sunday. Good thing.. I caught the crappie piled up around the points were the wind was blowing around them. In two spots I caught about 70 crappie( I stopped counting at 50). I brought home only 22. Most were 10-11 inches, I had 3 that were 12 to 14 inches. Oh those 9 1/2 inchers.. I was using jigs (black and green) about 4-5 deep in 9 foot of water. I was using two poles one in each hand and as I would ease up to the cover 7 out of 10 times I would catch a double.. Most were too small but it was still a fun day catching and it was a lot better than sitting at home like I did Saturday. I dont think it willbe long before the bream start hitting there .. I had a lot of bream hits on my jigs and caught maybe 7 bream.. only 2 big enough to keep.
Bad thing they were still biting when I left the lake at 1:00, but the lake was whitecapping and I had all I wanted to clean today..lol.
