Muddy,
I have had a 5' KK for only one year (I got it with a tractor I bought last year, and the previous owner had never used it). It seems to work well, but I only used it a couple of times to till up gardens where the soil was already pretty loose. I don't know how it would do to break up fields or such for food plots.
It is not as heavy duty as my 6' Caroni tiller I use behind my big tractor, but it is pretty well built IMHO and costs quite a bit less. Getting one for less than $900 is a pretty decent deal with metal prices the way they are now.
One thing you will want to make sure that you have is a slip clutch. If you get a big rock jamming up the tiller, something will break if you don't have a functioning slip clutch on the PTO shaft. It would be really bad news if what breaks is something inside your tractor's transaxle!
