Killed a good (for me) one

I thought it was one of the bigger one I had on camera, but like I said, I'm still happy with it. Really surprised to see them walking down the trail I came in on too. Had to turn around in my stand, and was following the doe in my scope (10 yards away) and kept an eye back down the trail and here he came about 50 yards behind her. Not chasing just following. He kept nosing around, so I was thinking he would scent my trail so I took him right away. This is pretty much my best buck stand. I hunt the spine of a spur that has thickets on both sides, and those thickets is where I hear and see chasing each year I've been here. Wish I had the time and patience to wait out a bigger one, but now I can get some work done today! Girls and the wife are quite happy! Finally they say :) . Going back out this afternoon for some doe action on the food plot.

Both brow tines were broken off, although they weren't very big in diameter anyway. Checked the camera after I got him loaded, and he was on several times at night the last few days. There was also a good looking 10 pointer each night as well, so maybe Monday morning he'll come by. I'm beginning to really like these food plot/camera setups to attract deer and know what's out there. Sure makes it a lot easier and boosts confidence.

Awesome man!!
Good job!
I'm the opposite on the camera thing.
I like knowing what is there, but I used to let cameras dictate how I hunted. Lots of heartache and lost sleep ensued.
I've gone back to just hunting. Not running cameras may or may not have cost me some bigger horns. I like it this way.
I still have a cabinet full of cams I don't run. Lol
Congrats on your buck!!!
Now go wack some meat this eve!!
