All we have seen are jakes and hens on the property we hunt. We can hear the gobblers in fact some cut through the treea behind us yesterday. I know some of you guys hate blinds but it is almost impossible to shoot a turkey with a bow in Kansas.

It also seems the neighbors feed them so they flydown and head their way in the mornings. It really doesnt matter because a blizzard hit last night. Winds over 70 mph and 4 to 8 inches of snow.

It's legal to bait turkey in KS, right? I'm assuming that's what the neighbors are doing? That has to be frustrating.

We went hunting tonight for a bit. We moved the blind closer to the feeder culprit. The wind was nearly 30 mph and the temperature was in the high 20s.

One of our blinds was flattened by the wind. We replaced some of the braces with fiberglass electric fence poles. Some Monster Tape and it was good as new. Still I lost my cushy seat and my foam decoy.

Going tomorrow morning early. We saw some turkeys near our setup just after shooting light. We just have to get there in the dark and get ready. The nice thing is I bought a Little Buddy heater for the blind. With the wind chill it will be 8 in the morning. The heater knocked the chill of of us tonight. It was well worth $79!
