teenagers walking by my set. No orange, camouflaged, toting antlers for rattling, swinging their jackets around like helicopters, carrying a rifle on a no-rifle WMA. Sometimes I feel like the main character of a hunting version of Breaking Bad.

I'm adding "a friend with private land" and "money enough to join a club/lease or own land" to my prayer list.

Yes, Priest. Just had two more rifles come through. Sword fighting? I thought I'd heard it all. I guess not.

Am I too much a stickler? This is only my second year to hunt deer, do maybe I'm being more rigid than I need to be. I've already been fussed at by a guy for shooting "his" buck. At least he had an orange cap on, but he trespasses on neighboring property telling me it's a "gray area."

Now 5 horseback riders making their horses run through the field followed by the same two guys going back through smoking. They've all gone at this point, but now I'm wondering if this spot is ruined for the evening.

I can tell you TWRA takes it seriously. I was at a no gun WMA last weekend and had two speed loaders for muzzleloader sitting on my seat and they came out to check to make sure I didn't have a gun...time to make a call!
