Jumped a Good Buck/Advice?

I was leaving the stand this morning and walking back to the truck. I have another stand closer to the truck on this property and I walked up on a good buck close to this stand. He started to run off and I grunted and he stopped behind a tree and some thick stuff. Stood there for about 30 seconds and then started running straight away. I had the straight away butt shot but I was not going to take that shot. Tried to grunt and get him stopped again but he kept going. He never snorted and did not seem real spooked.

How long do you think I should let this area rest before I try and hunt this deer?
