I love it. Just finished up 30lbs of sweet & spicy, but think the cajun is better.
WOW!
You got it going on there.
And here I thought my 10 lbs of finished product was a big deal.
It's amazing what a 100 lb doe will dry down to. I dry mine to crunchy crispy.

Edit to add:
Wow how many trays do you run in one stack?

The instructions for the dehydrator say 24 max. Most of the time we fill them all. If all are full at 135 degrees it takes about 11 to 12 hours. And we try to rotate trays half way through. For the 30lbs you can do about 20 trays 3 times.

Just an interesting note.
Hand sliced back strap and ham meat
Marinated for days
5 lb 15 oz fully dried
Produces
1 lb 12 oz of jerky

Just under 29% net

I did 8 runs like that all within a few ozs of each other.

How do y'all say how much jerky you made.

Do you say you made 47 lbs of jerky
Or
Do you say 12 lbs of jerky?

Yeah I usually do ground but I go for about a 40-45% weight loss to achieve how dry I want my jerky. Full muscle jerky I would probably do the same..I dont like it real crispy or overly dry. If i do 10lbs of meat and get 3.5-4lbs of jerky when done thats the weight I use for jerky.

Thing is making jerky you can make it cheaper that you can buy. But due to the amount of meat needed to make xxx lbs of jerky its still not cheap as people think, just cause you made your own jerky..seasoning aint cheap and 10lbs of good meat to rinder 3.5-4.5lbs of jerky aint cheap deer, beef, turkey, pig or what ever. Make the jerky you like and F everybody else.

I do meat sticks too. Higher yield per pound but still aint free. Hate the hey can you give me couple pounds of meat sticks..you made a bunch didnt you...
