We didnt get much, but a slow drizzle most of the night has to help out the clover.Should have soaked in good.Who got some?

Sunday and Monday look pretty good as well, wonder if that doesnt really materialize, how late would be too late to get some wheat before the season is out?

still no rain since about July in my woods....its very frustrating. I am sure after all my plots die it will rain every day!

Not even enough drizzle to wet the driveway at my place in Hickman Co.

I'm counting on Sunday-Tuesday (according to the weather guys) to save my plots and the 150 lbs of fescue and ryegrass I finally got sown last weekend on the areas in the yard I fixed from the May flood.

Went just to the north and just to the south of my plots in Cannon county. Rained at home for about 4 hours in Wilson county.

I have given up. Planted two fields twice already in front of forcasted rain events, just to miss them both. Planted my big field last Wendesday after a trace of rain and got very little that night.

I have watched countless hours of radar, just to watch it miss us to the north and south, or just fizzle out before it gets to us.

Only thing I have going for me, is the pond we dug in our main food plot. Deer are wearing it out, as it is the only water source that has not completely dried up. Deer tracks totally surround it.

For the short term, it may be a better resource to hold deer, than the food plots.

I like what I'm seeing in the models for next week. We could see three significant rains next week.

Not even a drop in Christiana. I was hoping for some, hunted this AM, food plots dry and dusty. The only thing the deer have is some surviving Durana clover from last year.

i hope we all get rain this upcoming week... i know others are very frustrated with planting plots 2-3 times with forecast of rain and then getting nothing. I am afriad if i dont see rain this week my plots done with ...over 30 hrs of labor and $800 and nothing to show for it!!!!!

I got a few drops on the windsheild and that was it. No meaningful rain since August 21st. BSK is right about next week, looks like the dry spell is on the way out. Pattern change is about here.

Looks like Im finally going to get mine in the ground today or tomorrow. We have been terrible dry, I am hopeful yall are right! I hope it rains all of those days!!!

Yup, Sunday night, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and possibly a big rain event next weekend.
Might not have happened tp your place yet,but my place "looks" like late fall already with the leaf loss.Maybe its because I got a stray shower back a week or so ago.I was shocked at how many leaves were already down.

It says I got .72...some more should have come today. I hope this kicks my plots up a little more before it gets cold!
Yep,by this morning,I could already tell my clover was grreening up a little, went out last night right as it started raing and spread some wheat.

We got a good rain here last night and this morning. Actually...a down pour last night.

The plots looked better than they did yesterday before the rain.

Got out there and put down some 19-19-19 while raining this afternoon.

I got 1.5 inches last night, judging by the radar the cat hole/BSK area should have gotten some more this AM

Cathole/BSK's place got between 0.6 and 1.0 inches of rain, per the accumulated radar estimates.

We have the chance of more big rains Wednesday.

Nothing better than seeding or fertilizing in the rain! That soaks it in fast!

Yep, but it sure sucks when you can't get out there and it's sitting in the cabin doing no good. I'll try to get it done this weekend.

I told my wife that if anyone saw my fat butt running with the seeder around my neck, they probably got a good laugh!!! Its hard jogging in 6 inches of loose dirt with 25 pounds hanging from your neck!!

I assume that "lobelville" on the weather channel,is actually Jackson,or some other "big" town, maybe Centerville.I looked today, and it showed "lobelville"with .7 inches, when my gauge showed 1.5.Im sure they dont actually have a weather station in every podunk town.In other words,I bet you got more.

Actually, there are automated stations in just about every small town in TN, and each station will have a digital range gauge.

The weather channel is never right with their rain estimates. They do pick some other larger city and report it as every town in that area. The other day it said 2.55 inches in the past 24 hours in Linden but like .4 inches for the month. Their numbers just dont add up sometimes.
