Infor on Shotgun Please

im looking at getting the remington 870. I would like to have something that i can use for both duck and turkey. dont want to have to buy 2 guns...they have a combo with a 26 inch barrel... is this too short for duck for should i just get the one with a 28 barrel...and then check to see about getting an extra barrel for turkey...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

26 is fine for ducks, heck i hunted and killed more then my share of ducks with a 24" barrel for years.

26" is a great all around barrel to use...28 is a bit to long for me turkey hunting and people are not fans of 24" in a duck blind due to the noise....26 is right in the middle of those.

that will work...if you are firm on the 870 great, if not you can also look at the Stoeger M3500 for around the same price if not cheaper. Pretty awesome Auto shotgun especially for Duck Hunting.

the Nova that i sold a couple of weeks ago had a 26". the 870 i bought over the weekend has a 26". works for everything imo!

I have the same one with 26 inch barrell and it works great for both. It is a great all around gun

I just sold that gun to Grizzly a few months ago. With a Jellyhead .660 and both the 3" and 3.5" Hevi-13 #7's, it put close to 300 pellets in a 40 yard 10" circle. Best patterning turkey gun I've had.

Another good thing about that model, it's drilled & tapped from the factory!!

I shoot an 835 28" barrel with extended tubes. I've taken birds at 65yds + without any issues. I will say its a little on the heavy/long side for the woods,but a price i'm willing to pay for distance.

Hahah 65+ good gosh what do you even aim at on a bird 70yds away??
