The only way I like to hunt turkeys is to call them in Gobbling..... If it don't get my heart pounding and make me shake I don't want to do it.

Yep and this was my 1 and only hen. Get over it!

I am over it. I've been over it the whole time. As I've said four or five time today alone, if the kill is worth more than the cost to the person behind the trigger, then the state of Tennessee allows it. I wish the wouldn't but they do. I only posted your quote because you literally posted it 35 minutes before posting a picture of a dead hen which likely did very little gobbling.

Your still whining about it though.

I see his point, that in one breath you're only about killing gobbling longbeards and the next you're celebrating a dead hen and talking about killing every one you see.

I don't really have a dog in this particular fight, just an observation after reading through this topic

Not only did I not whine, I didnt even comment. Just posted your own words. If your words offend you, then you should apologize to yourself.

LOL I love this place. Every word you say is under the scrutiny of somebody. I don't care though, I can argue with a stump :D

In my high school yearbook, I was literally voted "most likely to argue with a fencepost." fredfred, you and I would get along very well I'm sure. We would just never get anything accomplished because there would always be a debate that needed to be had.

By the way, what'd ya do with the wings on that poor lil' ol hen?

Naw, heck no. No pilfering for wings after questioning a hen murder. Move along nothing more for you here :D

I'm sure the wings are still on her in the woods behind the house, unless something carried them off. I don't have a clue how to make a call from them. If you'll make us one I'll send em to you.

Thats a deal. Some good will come of this tragedy. Don't want them to go to waste. They make too good a call. Its hard being anti-hen killing but knowing hen bones make the best turkey calls.

Just cut them off at the body at the big "shoulder" joint. Put a little salt or borax on the end and stick them in a box or big envelope. I'll PM you my address.
