Smokeless IMR 4759

Has anyone tried 4759 and how did it do?

I use it in my .50 with 250gr TEZs. 36-42 grains I think, but will have to check my notes.

It makes a heck of a kids load at 31-32 grains in a .45 with Barnes 195 wrapped in a Harvester Light Blue sabot. I use this in my sons Encore conversion and recoil is just a touch more than a .243.

I also use it as a booster in duplex loads.

They say they are discontinuing it though, so I'm not sure what future availability will be. I think I have enough to last me though.

I also heard they where discontinuing. I came up with 6lb and was thinking it would make a good lite recoil load powder.

I just bought 4lbs.. Seems to be what my Savage likes - figures they would discontinue

Works very well in a duplex load. It's a shame its being discontinued though... I stocked up with a couple pounds of it last week for that reason.

I use it in my 50s. They love it but yes it is being discontinued.get it while you can.

I didn't take pictures of groups. They where touching at a 100 yd.

no idea about imr 4759 but imr sr 4759 is good

that should last my life duplexing at 5- 10 grains
