....till today. In my stand before daylight, started seeing deer at daylight. Didn't move in the stand till about 10:00. I felt like I was having a spasm in the back of my leg. After the 2nd time, I jumped up because I knew it was something else. Yep, I black snake had bedded up in my tree stand seat. The fight was on! Not enough room for both of us and I was strapped in. I beat him out of the seat with my crossbow and finally kicked him the rest of the way out. Not a good day for me. Good thing there was no kids around, porn playing on targets speakers would have been mild.

Oh, I promise it would have been funny when it was all over, and I was not hanging there or worse? What i thought was the spasm in my leg was me setting on it and it was trying to get out the hole the was under my right leg. Hole was about the size of a half dollar. I need to contact nap and the them know their broad head will expand before hitting something. All three blades were sticking straight out after the beating! Only the foot brace of the crossbow made contact with anything.

Another place to check is under the gas tank[on top of engine] on your wheeler. Having a 3-4 footer wrap around your leg w/shorts on is not fun.

Lol! That's funny, but don't freak out if that or something similar happens again. In the case it is a venomous snake you're just going to scare it, and you probably will get bit. Hard to overcone reactions, but snakes are pretty harmless.. until you scare them
