Hard to tell a lot of times. A lot of guys claim they can age them pretty good but, I wonder sometimes.

He's a least 2 1/2. Show us his picture again mid-October. Much easier to judge age once bucks are filled out for the rut.

BSK Here is a side view. What is the definition of a second beam vs. kicker? Second pedicle?

A point that either comes from a second pedicle, or a point that comes of the original pedicle and takes on the shape of a main beam. basically, a "copy" of the main beam. I think that kicker qualifies as a second right main beam.

Cool buck! The other bucks will soon learn to respect his "dagger" once the fighting commences this fall.
He probably needs to be taken out to protect the other deer. Can't have one with an unfair advantage. Looks like an eye gouger to me.

I am trying to negotiate with my larger property holding neighbors to let him grow. I hope it works.

He is only a hundred yards from the property boundary where that pic was taken.
