I cant help but buy fruit trees when they are on sale. Not the best pear varieties for deer but I promise I will gain a few inches from eating them

lowes has their trees 50% off right now. I'm fairly new to the tree planting and growing game but have also become addicted quickly! The one thing ive learned in my first couple years are pears are WAY EASIER to grow and have than apples...Since im not planting for myself but deer i think i will stay geared towards pears,sawtooths,and chestnuts myself...Theirs one nursery that sells pear trees for food plots they have several kinds that drop frop sept till dec. I think im going to get several of each kind so I always have some kind of a treat to keep the deer around...

Moonglow and Ayers. I was hoping for some more kieffers but hey, deer eat pears in August too so these will help.

Yep! The Home Depot up here has several Keiffer, they will be on sale probably in the next week or so.

Sort of off topic but were you by chance getting off of I-65 at Cool Springs today heading toward Carothers around 11:30? If it wasn't you it was a jeep just like that.
