Go west young man.....If you are willing to drive about an hour you will get into higher deer densities. You are not in an area known for deer hunting. however, you are not far from North Cumberland, Catoosa, Mt. Roosevelt, Fort Loudon, and a couple of others that have open hunts or are open with the statewide seasons.

There is great deer hunting in Sevier co. Especially around Boyds Creek Hwy and other lower land areas. The mountain side can be really tough but there are some really great mountain bucks in that area just much harder to hunt. Deer density is certainly lower in the mountains but the lower valley areas hold very good numbers in areas of sevier co.

There are quite a few deer in places around sever county. The hard part is getting permission to hunt them.

Bass Pro tore up the best piece of hunting ground around there to build their store. Good luck getting permission anywhere. Take the GO WEST advice or try Loudon County

Have hunted in sevier county my whole life. Mainly in the boyds creek area. There are pretty good deer densities around boyds creek. Numbers have gotten a lot better in the last ten years. Hard thing is getting permission. Very hard to do around here

I use to hunt a farm off Boydes Creek. Every morning I hunted it, I saw Deer. I hunted it 2 years, probably 9 or 10 times each year. I never saw a good buck, but saw several smaller ones. They devided it up in tracks, and auctioned it off, and that was the end of the hunting.

Go up wears valley rd, turn left at the end. Go thru townsend, at the T, turn right, go to the end of the road, past the gate, have at it. Saw a REALLY good 10 up there the other day, and one group that had 7 bucks in it. 3 were shooters.

That is so wrong... Incredibly funny, but wrong!

One of my favorite things to do, with a straight face, is ask a GSMNP Range which end of Cades Cove can I bow hunt? Their facial expressions are awesome! :D :D :D
