Let me hear the Skinny on this rifle. Good, bad and the ugly?? The style has caught my eye. Does anyone on here actually own one of these? I like the Camo version in the 243. What's everyones opinion.

i have a howa and it is a SHOOTER!!!

Sniper7MM got me hooked on them.

not really shot in the but with the axiom. i would rather have the action and pick a different stock.

Howa makes a great gun but the Axiom is HEAVY! The 24"bbl is 9.65-lbs and the 20"bbl is 9-lbs...with a decent scope your looking at 11+ lbs.

I was looking at the KIT prices on line that includes the Scope. I think they are 1100.00 to 1300.00. Is the scopes that comes with them any count?

huntinman..i have a 1500 20" heavy and it is a great shooter. i ordered a axiom stock and it will be here tomorrow. i bought mine with the package 4-16x42 or 44mm objective can't remember which it is and i'm pleased with the scope, especially for no more than i have in it. definately don't think you would be dissappointed in the rifle.

they are good shooting rifles, but heavy and cumbersome and set up for hunting more open country that tn has to offer. they are 3 kinds of ugly to my eye, but will shoot good.

you can go to walmart and buy the vanguard in 223 or 22-250 and have the same gun in a more conventional design that weighs three pounds less for 399. their crude, but they shoot well

no. it is a big goofy ugly nikko sterling. that is a terrible price. for 1300 you could buy a KIMBER and put a leupold on it.

I have to say I agree I think 1100-1300 could be better spent on something else, but if its what you want go for it because they are shooters.

Kimbers are right from the factory, no need to pimp anything.
